6:00 Program @ A Little Lavender
A Little Lavender & the Simon Farm and Gardens (see below for details)
- This is a progressive event outside in close proximity to West Cadillac:
- Interested members deliver and set up their card table and 4 chairs at Kathy Simon's home. Decorate the table with any theme that interests you (could even be Christmas themed) using dishes, linens, centerpiece, etc. We will set up in the garage if the weather does not cooperate. Let Kathy Simon know a week in advance if you plan to do a table design. You can join with another member(s) to make this a group project. Kathy's home is located at 4907 E. 46 Rd, Cadillac MI 49601. Set up is 5:00-5:45 PM.
- A Little Lavender is a lavender field and small retail establishment at 4270 E. 46 Road, Cadillac MI 49601 (just down the road from Kathy Simon). The gardener, Nancy Lapinski, will show us her lavender fields and discuss their growth and use in products. There will be an opportunity to purchase lavender products from Nancy's roadside shop. This will begin at 6:00 PM.
- After the visit to A Little Lavender, the group will go to Kathy Simon's home/farm @ 4907 E. 46 Road, Cadillac MI. We will have dessert and beverage provided by the Club August Hostesses using the tablescapes designed by members. Do not be surprised if there is a lavender theme? After we eat, Kathy will introduce us to her miniature cows, sheep and goats, and of course her herding dog. Immediatelly after lavender tour.
- This event is for members only.
